Wii Videos on their way...

Of course not before December 8th. With the date for the Wii release rapidly approaching I hope that I will be able to get my hands on one at day one. I have pre-ordered one from my local game and put the deposit down and told that I would be gauranteed one. However nothing is truely set in stone I am keeping my fingers crossed and with this it is more than likely. Now down to the nitty gritty.

The Wii is obviously a new system and alot of questions still remain about the hardware, the software, the games and the functionality, and the all important; "What's in the box?" question. When I get my hands on one I hope to be able to answer these questions myself with a series of videos I'm going to dub the Wiiview Videos. Exclusive to Games In Action Dot Com and the Games In Action Blog powered by blogger and youtube.

Thanks for reading, feel free to leave a considerate comment.

Upgradination

GIA.com has finished being upgraded. Here is a rundown of the new features as spoken by Smutz himself.

This was taken from before the upgrade so make sure not to get confused. By the way, currently the site is being overhauled and it has only been part of the upgrade, coming next, graphics. For now enjoy the new gia.com.

This week, hopefully, the forum overhaul shall be taking place. Now, this raises some teeth grinding questions about it. Below, I did this in a Q. & A. style update. Just so I didn't confizzel punks like RoAF =P.

Q. ZOMG! Will everything be lost!?
Not really, per say. All accounts/posts will be safe. However, all the things like backgrounds, and everything else, will be gone, or different.

Q. What are you upgrading to?
We will be upgrading to IdealBB.Net, the same software Bungie.net uses. I would guess though, we have a newer version, since the version came out about one or two weeks ago.
We will have a better rich text editor, which I am very proud of. That is an example of all the buttons on it. Of course, many less will be on.

Q. When is this happening?
This week, hopefully like I said earler. The date is yet to be cleared. If it does not happen this week, I will program a forum for an anti-smutzz campaign.

Q. How long will this take?
It will take 3 hours, just because there will be upgrades to the web-server and database server. I hope this will happen around 2 AM EST, but no word on that either. Just keep your eyes peeled, and check back often. If you cannot view the website, then it is
-Broken

Q. Why are you upgrading the database server?
Mainly for the website, but also to access our 133731 H4Xx0R Sk1llz.

That's just about everything for now.

GIA.com Upgrade

Gamesinaction.com is now down for several hours for the long awaited upgrade. The site should be down for 3-4 hours. Full list of updates when service resumes. Stay tuned.

Nintendo already boxing Wii units? - Joystiq

Nintendo already boxing Wii units? - Joystiq

According to Joystiq and various other sources, certain online community members have recieved job offers for the Wii production line and a job posting on Nintendo's website backs it up. Looks like the Wii could be sooner than first thought, however don't hold me to that.

Games Radar - XBOX 360 news - Xbox 360 - [360] Add-on bundles planned for Christmas offers

Bit too pricey for my liking, £200, I was hoping for £130, ohwell. It'll be more expensive than the PS3 when bought with the Xbox 360 however the same article says that they will release another bundle costing £375. So THAT will be cheaper. Can't wait for this piece of kit.

Sneak peek at Xbox 360 fall dashboard update - Joystiq

Well in response to Nathans request for a well structured news story, I am doing so. And as a bonus, it is something interesting, just as an extra.

Getting away from the tomfoolary, the fall dashboard update should be right around the corner. As a result the few shots are gonna leak out and find their way onto the internets. Well it looks like its beginning. Over at Joystiq, they have posted a news story and shots of the fall xbox 360 dashboard update. Enjoy.

Well in yesterdays official Sony **** up. It was only a matter of hours before the internets got back to Sony Bashing once again. I stumbled upon this article whilst browsing the my RSS Program and had to say that the truth behind some of those pictures is shocking. Just adding to the hilarity.
